Job summary

ASR Group, a leading cane sugar refiner and marketer, is seeking a Senior Packaging Reliability Engineer in Crockett, CA. The role focuses on improving the efficiency, safety, and quality of packaging equipment within the Production Department.

You will manage packaging projects and lead cross-functional teams to optimize lines and implement new technologies. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting packaging issues, reducing setup times, supporting capital projects, and ensuring equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with Packaging/Mechanical/Electrical or Chemical concentration.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, unit operations, and process control.
• Experience with continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or World Class Manufacturing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve packaging operations and retrofit/new equipment.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues; optimize packing line efficiencies.
• Develop procedures to reduce setup/changeover time and cost.
• Provide technical support for capital projects and new product testing.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance of packaging equipment and processes.
