Job summary

Gorilla Glue seeks a Senior Manager of R&D Packaging Development to lead a team of Packaging Development Engineers and oversee the development and qualification of new packaging for Gorilla Glue products. You will steer prototyping, lab testing, and design trials, partnering with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive sustainability, cost savings, and growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Packaging Engineering or equivalent technical degree with strong packaging development experience.
• Experience leading packaging projects from concept through commercialization.
• Strong collaboration with marketing, sales, and operations required.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative primary, retail and secondary packaging for various retail customers and shipping environments.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Packaging Development Engineers and manage workload across NPD and cost-savings projects.
• Develop visual concepts and prototypes using ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, and digital renders.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Formulation, Quality, Sales, Manufacturing, Sourcing and other internal groups to meet consumer and retailer needs.
• Partner with outside suppliers to develop and qualify new packaging components from concept through implementation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as packaging specifications and test reports.
• Apply ISTA and other testing procedures to validate structural integrity and minimize damage during transit.
