Job summary

Dixon Ticonderoga Company is seeking an experienced Senior Production Designer – Packaging to manage packaging artwork accuracy across brands such as Ticonderoga, Prang, Tru-Ray and ArtKraft. The role emphasizes production-ready files, versioning discipline, and adherence to brand standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep packaging and commercial print knowledge, meticulous file management, and the ability to guide design directions when needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in production design with packaging background.
• Experience extending designs across SKUs and packaging structures.
• Strong knowledge of full cycle commercial print processes and production workflows.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to review files before release.
• Experience with global manufacturing partners and providing clear production instructions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Extend approved packaging designs across sizes, formats and substrates.
• Ensure brand architecture is applied consistently across SKUs.
• Prepare and manage print-ready production files for manufacturing.
• Review vendor proofs and production samples for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate production risks and escalate issues when needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to move work efficiently.
