Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Designer who combines creative and structural skills to oversee artwork and box samples for sales support. You will help win customers with unique, high-quality packaging designs and coordinate with Sales to promote products.

The role requires CAD/drafting proficiency, five years in graphics or related fields, and knowledge of Artios CAD and Kongsberg tools. Experience in a production setting and packaging industry is preferred, with strong

Qualifications

College education or heavy coursework in CAD, drafting, design and engineering.
Five years experience in graphics, drafting or related field.
Good communicator with customers and sales staff.
3-5 years experience in packaging or related field preferred.
Knowledge of Artios CAD, Kongsberg table or similar tools.
Experience in a production/manufacturing facility, especially corrugated.

Responsibilities

Formulate ideas for new accounts or products based on customer needs and feasibility.
Accompany Sales Representatives to present new products or designs.
Review accounts and recommend updates on style, board weight, etc.
Analyze industry changes and research equipment innovations.
Produce samples on CAD table or cut samples by hand.
Create production specifications from prototypes.
Meet deadlines; overtime may be required.
Implement and uphold company policies, safety and housekeeping.
