Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Production Associate III in Columbus, OH. The role requires rotating 4 on/4 off shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM, with a starting salary of $28.77 per hour.

The work includes inspecting products, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, entering data into production software, and communicating shift information. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• You have 2+ years of manufacturing experience or training.
• Read and comprehend standard work instructions.
• Arrive to work on time with a strong attendance record.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Inspects product throughout the shift and notifies lead/quality technician of defects.
• Keeps work area and machinery clean and safe.
• Enters production and quality information into production software.
• Communicates pertinent information to next shift.
• Performs clean-up, painting and housekeeping duties.
• Maintains effective work relationships within the department and company.
• Handles stress to maintain a positive work environment.
• Participates in teams for continuous improvement.
• Follows safety practices and food safety guidelines.
• Stages and maintains packaging materials and follows procedures.
• Maintains production equipment as required.
• Provides on-the-job training of assigned personnel.
• Inspects in-process materials and finished products.
• Replenishes supplies for the assigned area.
