Job summary

Abbott Nutrition, based in Sturgis, Michigan, seeks an experienced leader to oversee multi-shift manufacturing operations. You will mentor frontline leaders, ensure quality and compliance, and drive cost-effective performance across lines and departments.

You will champion operator engagement, manage budgets, and relentlessly pursue improvements in OEE, downtime, and material usage while collaborating with cross-functional teams at site leadership levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-shift manufacturing operations and mentor frontline leaders responsible for shift performance.
• Ensure team understands how their shift affects line/department results.
• Champion quality and regulatory compliance across products and processes.
• Train teams on operator engagement and cost management.
• Set up and monitor financial statements, KPIs and line budgets.
• Track and improve key performance indicators such as OEE, downtime and usage.
• Direct staffing activities and supervise team members.
• Provide coaching, feedback and performance guidance.
• Operate with autonomy, escalating only when needed.
• Lead change management initiatives within cross-functional teams.
• Foster learning and development through available systems.
