Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Senior Technician Maintenance (Packaging) for the day shift (6:30am–3:00pm, M-F) in Athens, GA. The role focuses on advanced maintenance, troubleshooting and reliability for high-speed packaging lines, fermentation and related systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years in manufacturing, pharma preferred.
• Associate degree/technical diploma with 4+ years in pharma manufacturing preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years in a regulated industry preferred.
• Knowledge of and adherence to EHS requirements.
• Advanced level problem solving/troubleshooting.
• Proficient verbal and written communication.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy.
• Basic leadership.
• Advanced technical coaching/mentoring.
• Advanced continuous improvement.
• Intermediate to advanced data analytics.
• Able to read blueprints/P&IDs.
• Knowledge of FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill work order information in SAP on a timely basis.
• Assists in the development of detailed training programs and serves as SME and trainer for technicians.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to determine issues.
• Oversees the completion of the Preventative Maintenance plan on time and in compliance.
• Coordinates the work of outside contractors for projects or to supplement the workforce.
• Contributes to cross-functional equipment improvement teams focusing on performance and reliability.
• Supports training of production & maintenance personnel relative to basic operations and care of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Provides supervisory relief and coverage to support business priorities and critical tasks.
• Responds to maintenance emergencies and provides effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoots and implements advanced corrective actions for performance issues.
