Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Senior Specialist - Setup Mechanic to provide technical leadership and maintenance on the production floor, ensuring reliable and compliant packaging operations. You will troubleshoot equipment, lead changeovers, analyze performance data, and drive continuous improvement to reduce variability.

The role requires hands-on packaging expertise, mentoring operators, and ensuring GMP and safety compliance. Travel is minimal, with a 12-hour rotating shift schedule in Clinton, IN.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Required Experience: Experience supporting manufacturing or packaging operations with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
• Top 2 Skills: Strong packaging equipment troubleshooting skills; Mechanical and electrical maintenance with GMP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging equipment setup, changeovers, troubleshooting, and maintenance to support safe operations.
• Analyze in-process packaging data and investigate events to reduce variability and improve performance.
• Support continuous improvement through procedures review, change controls, deviation investigations, and packaging enhancements.
• Mentor and train operators, providing coverage for leadership as needed.
• Ensure safety, environmental, quality, and GMP compliance and coach best practices.
