Job summary

The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta seeks a Senior Manager of Packaging Development to identify and develop innovative packaging solutions, leveraging trends, research, and external partners. You will lead cross‑functional teams through concept, proof of concept, design, development, and market trials.

Authority to manage budgets, guide project plans, and scale new technology into viable commercial packaging is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
5–10 years in Packaging Development within the CPG/beverage sector.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Knowledge of packaging trends, consumer trends, and technical research methodologies.
Ability to work with external partners (design agencies, universities, suppliers).
Strong problem‑solving and creative mindset to drive packaging innovations.
Experience with global packaging networks and re‑application of ideas.
Change management and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end packaging projects from concept to market introduction.
Build and manage the Package RDI pipeline aligned with business objectives.
Partner with bottling partners, suppliers, agencies, and universities.
Develop and present business cases for new packaging initiatives.
Translate ideas into feasible, cost‑effective packaging solutions and run pilots/trials.
