Job summary

Ferring is seeking a Senior Packaging Engineer, Projects in Parsippany, NJ. You will establish packaging design standards, drive technical strategy, and lead packaging projects including automation and process improvements.

You’ll collaborate across Validation, Packaging Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain to ensure GMP compliance and efficient production. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging/Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in pharmaceutical packaging, and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.
Experience creating packaging designs, drawings, and technical documentation.
Experience leading packaging qualifications on automated lines.
Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and global packaging regulations.
Experience working with vendors and managing packaging development projects.

Responsibilities

Lead packaging programs and resolve packaging problems.
Design, develop and qualify packaging configurations and secondary packaging.
Develop drawings, specifications, BOMs, and change controls.
Lead packaging qualifications for automated lines on production.
Coordinate with Validation, Packaging Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain.
Manage vendor interactions with packaging suppliers and tooling vendors.
Prepare and present change controls for change control committee.
Coordinate project activities from initiation to closure for process improvements.
