Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead the identification, development, and commercialization of new or alternative packaging solutions across multiple operations. This onsite role at the Chicago corporate office involves collaboration with R&D and Supply Chain Engineering, and occasional travel to manufacturing plants to drive packaging innovation and efficiency.

The successful candidate will manage complex packaging projects, deliver cost savings, ensure regulatory and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in packaging, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of packaging industry experience.
• Strong cross-functional partnerships and ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of short-term continuity projects independently.
• Develop ideas for cost savings, innovation, and quality improvements.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams, as well as external partners and suppliers.
• Plan, execute, and analyze plant, pilot plant, and lab trials independently.
• Present technical results to leadership teams in written and verbal formats.
