Job summary

Flamingo in New York is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead the design, testing, and development of packaging for its Personal Care line. You will own specifications, review 3D CAD models, and partner with suppliers to bring packaging from concept to production.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Packaging Engineering or related field, 3+ years of packaging experience, knowledge of materials, and hands-on use of 3D MCAD tools (Artios, SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• BS in Packaging Engineering or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• 3+ years design, testing, and development of new packaging.
• Knowledge of pumps, closures, bottles, tubes, cartons, and laminations.
• Experience with 2D drawings and 3D CAD tools.
• Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Experience with design for manufacturing and testing plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging engineering from concept to mass production.
• Develop specifications, review CAD models, and build prototypes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on testing and validation.
• Drive quality, cost, and sustainability in packaging components.
• own line trials, risk mitigation, and production readiness.
