Job summary

Elanco, a global leader in animal health, seeks a Senior Packaging Engineer to lead packaging development for a diverse product pipeline across pharma, biopharma, and vaccines. You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory to define packaging solutions from early development through registration and commercial readiness.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership, problem solving in a regulated setting, and global teamwork with US and Europe partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Packaging Technology or related discipline, or a bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant/equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical development.
• Experience with packaging in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with GMP principles and regulated development environments.

Responsibilities

• Own packaging development activities for assigned projects from early development through commercialization.
• Serve as packaging subject matter expert on cross-functional teams across global sites.
• Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing to evaluate feasibility and transfer to production.
• Plan and interpret packaging tests and document registration activities.
