Job summary

Ventek Solutions in Owosso, Michigan is seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to lead expanded foam packaging and dunnage designs from concept through product launch. Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales and quality teams to deliver robust packaging solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Packaging Engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Packaging Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in packaging engineering.
• Broad knowledge of expanded foam design and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to travel as required to meet with customers and suppliers.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Experience generating CAD/CAM tooling paths and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of expanded foam packaging and dunnage from concept through launch.
• Support design, development, manufacturing and costing during product commercialization.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers and Ventek engineers on design improvements.
• Complete and submit design release docs for new product launches and changes.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to gain buy-in on design concepts.
• Commit to Ventek’s safety, quality and customer satisfaction goals.
