Responsibilities

• Develops and designs new packaging for safe, convenient and attractive transport of products under various conditions.
• Develops packaging material standards and specifications; reviews test methods and develops new ones.
• Evaluates packaging and transporting methods for safety/quality; recommends efficient packing and automation where needed.
• Develops drawings and specifications with suppliers to determine materials and design requirements.
• Coordinates lab tests and plant trials to assess feasibility for new materials and equipment.
• Provides technical support to maintain quality standards and packaging supply; participates in continuous improvement teams.
