Job summary

Hyundai MOBIS Parts America (MPA) is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Packaging for our Headquarters facility in Fountain Valley, CA.

The role focuses on reducing damage and improving delivery conditions for parts to PDCs and OE customers, selecting durable, cost-effective packaging, and developing packaging standards for suppliers. Responsibilities include analyzing damage data, updating the Dealer Damage Database, preparing vendor improvement requests, and collaborating with PDCs to optimize packaging

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in packaging or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience with transportation delivery systems and routing methods.
• In-depth knowledge of packaging components, materials, and technologies related to the development, testing, and implementation of new product packaging.
• Familiarity with auto parts, catalogs, diagrams, concepts, and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and approve new accessory packaging proposals derived from the most current damage claims data incurred by packaging.
• Update the Kia/Hyundai Dealer Damage Database and perform analytical analysis on high-damage-rate parts.
• Prepare vendor packaging improvement requests based on high-damage-rate parts.
• Work with PDCs to review current packaging methods and loading/handling of parts shipments.
• Monitor and prepare packaging improvement request reports and distribute them to management.
