Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior packaging design and visual merchandising leader in New York. You will craft disruptive packaging systems, lead CGI/3D renders, and integrate AI tools while preserving brand integrity across retail formats.

Collaborate with product, marketing, and retail teams from early concept through production, develop dielines and print specs, and push premium, shareable packaging that engages mass and specialty retailers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of packaging design and visual merchandising experience.
• Expert CGI and 3D rendering across Keyshot, Cinema 4D, Blender, Rhino, or equivalent with photorealistic output.
• Deep fluency in Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), motion graphics tools (After Effects, Premiere Pro), and AI-powered platforms (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway).
• Understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior to make packaging stop and convert at the shelf.

Responsibilities

• Design packaging systems that are on-brand and disruptive, with attention-grabbing shelf presence.
• Bring expert CGI/3D rendering to concept visualization and production-ready assets.
• Integrate AI tools into creative workflow to accelerate ideation without sacrificing craft or brand integrity.
• Lead visual merchandising design for retail environments including endcaps, PDQs, and planograms.
• Translate strategy into packaging and VM executions from concept to consumer hands.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and retail teams early in development to align on concept.
• Develop dielines, mechanical files, and print-ready specs with production-ready files.
• Stay ahead of packaging trends and CGI techniques, sharing insights proactively.
• Push boundaries to create premium, cultural, and viral packaging concepts.
