Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Packaging Designer to create fiber-based packaging that delights customers while optimizing for cost and sustainability. You will prototype with ArtiosCAD and SolidWorks, develop detailed packaging specs, and produce performance reports as part of the Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging team.

Collaboration with program managers, automation engineers, and materials scientists will drive innovations across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
• 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience.
• Experience in management of engineering design projects.

Responsibilities

• Directly develop prototype and test new packaging designs using ArtiosCAD and SolidWorks.
• Create visual renderings to communicate design intent to stakeholders.
• Create detailed packaging specifications.
• Produce reports on packaging performance.
• Participate in or lead meetings to ensure developments meet benchmarks for customer experience, supply chain, and sustainability.
• Travel to engage with customers, supply chain, labs, and vendors.
