Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a Staff Packaging Design Engineer in California to lead the design, development, and validation of innovative packaging solutions for bottles, closures, and preforms. You will drive product development using CAD, 2D/3D modeling, rendering, and simulation while mentoring a small team.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional design initiatives, and partner with manufacturing plants to address technical needs.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field; minimum required experience.
• Familiar with CAD design, FEM analysis, and rapid prototyping.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and NPD projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and provide technical assistance.
• Oversee project direction, planning, prioritization and implementation.
• Coordinate multiple projects and drive design validation.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with other teams.
• Build and validate primary packaging components for a leading bottle producer.
• Travel up to 33%.
