Wing is seeking a Senior Packaging Design Engineer in Palo Alto, CA to lead packaging design and manufacturability for logistics and hardware projects. You will work with aircraft design owners to balance protection, cost, and sustainability while guiding DFx from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years direct experience in packaging design, mechanical or industrial design.

Responsibilities

• Provide packaging design expertise across logistics, touchpoints, and hardware projects, collaborating with aircraft design owners.
• Suggest materials and processes balancing structural integrity, cost, and user experience.
• Define test requirements for packaging tests and guide manufacturers on evaluation methods.
• Support trials with cross-functional teams, establishing standard testing methodologies and resolving field issues.
• Create and maintain engineering docs including specs, CAD drawings, BOMs, and compliance paperwork.
