Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Packaging Vision Systems Engineer to support all aspects of packaging systems and equipment. You will specialize in automated vision inspection, serialization and modern packaging equipment, serving Engineering and Packaging teams to meet cGMP and regulatory requirements.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation and collaboration are essential. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Packaging Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience.
Experience with high-speed automated visual inspection equipment and packaging machinery design.
Ability to read construction and process drawings; proficiency in electrical schematics.
Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, test and qualify vision system recipes for packaging lines.
Provide PLC/HMI troubleshooting support for packaging equipment.
Investigate equipment performance; collaborate with operations and QA for improvements.
Create User/Functional/Design specs and SOPs for new or modified equipment.
Ensure validated state of equipment and compliance with regulatory standards.
