Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Associate Packaging Engineer to provide hands-on engineering support for automated pharmaceutical packaging equipment, vision-inspection systems, and serialization systems. You will independently troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement controls and vision-system improvements from design through qualification and startup.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and modify PLC/HMI logic.
• Strong reading of electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with machine-vision principles, lighting, image capture, inspection tools, and reject logic.
• Familiarity with Track & Trace, serialization, and equipment interfaces.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports and change controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for automated packaging equipment and vision systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC/HMI, sensor, servo, pneumatic, and vision-system issues to determine root causes.
• Develop and test PLC/HMI and vision-system programs per procedures and change controls.
• Support serialization, track-and-trace, printing, inspection, and aggregation systems.
• Assist in FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, qualification, validation, and production startup.
• Coordinate technical activities with Production, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, and external integrators.
