Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Scheduler to support distribution and substation construction projects in Dallas/Houston. The role focuses on developing and maintaining resource- and cost-loaded Primavera P6 schedules, performing critical path analysis, and partnering with project teams from planning through completion.

Candidates should have 5+ years of utility construction scheduling experience and strong Primavera P6 expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of scheduling experience for electric distribution, substation, or utility construction projects.
• Strong Primavera P6 expertise with baseline, updates, logic, and cost/resource loading.
• Experience scheduling crews, materials, equipment, and field work.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, resource constraints, and field execution.
• Experience with schedule forecasting, earned value, KPIs, and variance analysis.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, procurement, construction, field operations, and project management teams.
• Experience with large-scale utility or EPC projects preferred.
• Familiarity with Deltek Acumen Fuse/Risk or similar schedule analysis tools preferred.
• Strong communication and influencing skills across departments.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop CPM Primavera P6 schedules for utility distribution, substation, and related infrastructure projects.
• Build and maintain resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned with baselines and execution strategies.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, field operations, and commissioning teams.
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule updates, what-if scenarios, and productivity tracking.
• Identify schedule risks, sequencing issues, and potential delays, and support mitigation planning.
• Develop and maintain baseline schedules, progress updates, forecasts, and schedule narratives.
• Produce earned value metrics, KPIs, cash flow reports, and other project controls reporting.
• Support look-ahead planning, short-interval schedules, and field coordination.
• Monitor actual progress against planned performance and identify schedule variances.
• Maintain accurate and compliant schedule documentation in accordance with contract and company standards.
