Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Granbury, Texas, seeks a P&C Technician to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot protection and control equipment across fossil generation facilities. You will test relays, instrument transformers, meters, and associated equipment, and complete documentation for field projects.

Under supervision, you’ll support plant I&C personnel, perform routine testing and troubleshooting, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Completion of PSD STAR program requirements.
• Six years as a P&C Technician or related experience.
• Significant field experience performing P&C services.
• Willingness to travel and extended work hours.
• Ability to work in dusty environments and physically demanding conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot plant protection and control equipment.
• Test electromechanical and microprocessor protective relays.
• Test instrument transformers, transducers, meters and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair protection control gear using schematics.
• Complete all project and field-work documentation.
• Support plant I&C personnel and interface with contractors.
