Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC in Granbury, TX is seeking a Protection & Control (P&C) Technician to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot protection and control equipment for fossil generation facilities. You will test electromechanical and microprocessor relays and document field work.

Working under lead technicians, you will use schematics to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade relaying systems, perform testing of meters and transducers, and coordinate with I&C staff for outages and data

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of PSD STAR program in P&C.
• Six years of P&C Technician experience or equivalent.
• Significant field experience performing P&C services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot protection and control equipment for fossil generation facilities.
• Test electromechanical and microprocessor protective relays.
• Test instrument transformers, transducers, meters, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair protection control equipment and relays using schematics.
• Complete all project and field-work documentation.
• Interface with plant I&C personnel and support outages.
• Lead new installation wiring verification, checkout, and functional test.
• Revise and maintain related drawings.
