Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a seasoned STEM engineer to lead design, test, and integration of aircraft oxygen systems, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires extensive experience with oxygen architecture, valves, regulators, and documentation.

Applicants must hold a STEM degree with substantial related experience and be capable of obtaining a US government clearance. The position emphasizes collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams and program milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12+ years experience or Master’s with 10+ years or PhD with 8+ years in related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret and Top Secret clearances.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, and following up with suppliers.
  • Experience with high/low pressure valves, and/or oxygen architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise in OBOGS systems, high‑pressure gaseous oxygen systems, contamination control, and oxygen hazard analysis.
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot aircraft oxygen systems and components (regulators, valves, masks, cylinders).
  • Produce detailed documentation, technical reports, and safety reviews.
  • Attend and present at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and milestones.
