Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Staff Oxygen System Analyst to support design, testing, and validation of aircraft oxygen systems. You will collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure system safety, reliability and performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires extensive oxygen systems experience, familiarity with high/low pressure valves, and the ability to obtain clearances.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 12 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 10 years; OR a Ph.D. with 8 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret/Top Secret clearances and SAP.
  • Experience in supplier relationship management, including briefing, coordinating, or following up with suppliers.
  • Experience with high/low pressure valves and/or oxygen architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise in OBOGS systems, high-pressure gaseous oxygen systems, contamination control, and oxygen hazard analysis.
  • Apply experience in designing, manufacturing, and conducting test validation for oxygen systems.
  • Design, test, and troubleshoot aircraft oxygen systems and components (regulators, valves, masks, cylinders).
  • Produce detailed documentation, technical reports, and safety reviews.
  • Participate in trade studies of oxygen system designs and provide data to address design issues.
  • Attend and present at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and milestone reviews.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment with initiative and minimal direction.
