Job summary

Alpha Omega is seeking a Lead Oversight Compliance Specialist to provide senior technical and operational leadership for the DHS ICE 287(g) national compliance oversight program. The role involves coordinating national workload execution, quality control, and advising ICE leadership on systemic risks and trends.

The successful candidate will review sensitive products, refine inspection methods, and mentor other specialists while collaborating with Field Offices and partners to drive corrective

Qualifications

• At least seven years in relevant professional experience with technical leadership.
• Experience evaluating compliance findings and formal assessment products.
• Ability to coordinate across organizations/locations while maintaining quality.
• Ability to advise senior leaders and communicate national trends clearly.
• Experience reviewing high-visibility or sensitive reports and resolving issues.
• Strong strategic planning, methodology development, process improvement, workload management, and QA capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; independent judgment; mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and quality oversight of 287(g) assessments nationwide.
• Guide Oversight Compliance Specialists and ensure standards.
• Oversee reviews of complex or sensitive assessment packages.
• Advise ICE leadership on national compliance trends and risks.
• Provide final technical clearance for high-visibility products.
• Develop inspection methodologies and reporting practices.
• Resolve complex findings and action items with partners.
• Coordinate with Field Offices and stakeholders on corrective actions.
• Develop national workload, risk, and performance reports.
• Support core assessment review, reporting, and closure activities.
