Job summary

Alpha Omega Integration is seeking an experienced Oversight Compliance Specialist to support the DHS ICE 287(g) compliance oversight program. This role manages the end-to-end review of compliance assessments, coordinates resolution of deficiencies with ICE Field Offices and partner agencies, and prepares defensible reports for leadership.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare formal reports and concise leadership summaries.
  • Experience coordinating effectively with field organizations, cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound, independent judgment.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload, competing priorities, and time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and records-management discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Review 287(g) compliance assessment packages, MOAs, forms, and supporting evidence for accuracy and alignment with requirements.
  • Analyze assessment findings, identify gaps, and develop evidence-based compliance determinations and pass/fail recommendations.
  • Coordinate intake, routing, and follow-up of assessment materials with ICE Field Offices, program personnel, and law enforcement partners.
  • Support development and validation of corrective action plans, monitor milestones, and confirm completion evidence resolves deficiencies.
  • Draft, revise, and finalize compliance reports and decision packages for supervisory review and signature.
  • Maintain current case status, workload data, deadlines, and auditable records in tracking systems with a high caseload.
  • Communicate emerging risks, repeated deficiencies, overdue actions, and sensitive matters to management to move assessments toward resolution.
  • Contribute to peer review, quality assurance, trend analysis, leadership reporting, and continuous improvement of templates and procedures.

Job Title: Oversight Compliance Specialist Clearance Required: Public Trust - Federal Client requires US Citizenship Work Location: Hybrid, Washington, DC

Alpha Omega is seeking an experienced Oversight Compliance Specialist to support the DHS ICE 287(g) compliance oversight program. This position manages the end-to-end review of assigned compliance assessments and related agreement documentation, coordinates the resolution of deficiencies with ICE Field Offices and participating law enforcement agencies, and prepares complete, defensible reports for leadership review and signature. The specialist will manage a high-volume portfolio, maintain accurate records, and help ensure that assessment decisions are timely, consistent, and aligned with program requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Review 287(g) compliance assessment packages, Memoranda of Agreement materials, forms, and supporting evidence to confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with applicable requirements.
  • Analyze assessment findings, identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies, and develop clear, evidence-based compliance determinations and pass/fail recommendations.
  • Coordinate the intake, assignment, routing, and follow-up of assessment materials with ICE Field Offices, program personnel, and participating law enforcement agency partners.
  • Support the development and validation of corrective action plans, monitor milestones and due dates, and confirm that completion evidence adequately resolves identified deficiencies.
  • Draft, revise, and finalize compliance reports and supporting decision packages for supervisory review and submission to the Assistant Director for PSPD for signature.
  • Maintain current case status, workload data, deadlines, and auditable records in applicable tracking systems while managing a substantial caseload that may include approximately 100 assigned assessments.
  • Communicate emerging risks, repeated deficiencies, overdue actions, and sensitive matters to management, and facilitate discussions needed to move assessments toward resolution.
  • Contribute to peer review, quality assurance, trend analysis, leadership reporting, and continuous improvement of assessment templates, tools, and procedures.

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $145,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
