Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Senior OutSystems Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications on the OutSystems low-code platform. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, cross-team collaboration, code reviews, and Agile participation to deliver impactful business value.

Remote opportunity in the United States with a focus on scalable, secure, high-performing solutions. Strong knowledge of enterprise processes and modern software architecture is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/Engineering)
• 3+ years OutSystems development
• 3-5 years traditional software development (.NET, Java, JS, or Python)
• Development and ongoing support of enterprise-grade applications
• OutSystems certifications required
• Strong SQL and relational DB design knowledge
• Understanding of modern software architecture
• Proficiency in .NET, Java, JavaScript or Python

Responsibilities

• Implement enterprise-grade applications using OutSystems; develop, enhance, and integrate systems
• Work with stakeholders to define requirements and translate to technical specs
• Support application lifecycle management — deployments, upgrades, environments
• Collaborate to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and integration standards
• Support user testing and ongoing production support
• Maintain technical and support documentation
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to deliver business value
• Conduct code reviews to enforce standards and mentor juniors
• Address user issues escalated by Support Center/Help Desk
