Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a skilled mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and generators. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on experience with engines and diagnostics, strong tool use, and excellent communication to explain issues to customers in clear terms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in mechanical repair with outdoor power equipment.
• High school diploma; technical or vocational small engine training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with hand and power tools.
• ASE or OEM certification is a plus.
• Experience with 2-stroke engines and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues with outdoor power equipment.
• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, and other components as needed.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks including oil changes and filter replacements.
• Interact with customers to understand their equipment issues and provide clear assessments.
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs and time spent on each job.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE as required.
• Manage and order parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies related to outdoor power equipment.
• Attend training sessions and workshops as needed.
