Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist – Outbound Carrier Management to oversee daily outbound transportation, optimize carrier performance, and control costs. You will influence internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure on‑time delivery and compliant operations.

The role requires strong analytics, experience with carrier management, and proficiency in TMS and Excel. Hybrid work arrangement in New Jersey is available, with opportunities to lead continuous improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in transportation or logistics, with a strong focus on outbound carrier management.
Proven experience managing common carriers, brokers, parcel, LTL, and/or TL freight.
Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting freight and performance data.
Proficiency with TMS platforms and Microsoft Excel.
Negotiation skills for contract management with carriers and service providers.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of outbound freight movement, including carrier selection, routing, and tendering.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with core carriers, brokers, and 3PL partners.
Monitor carrier performance metrics (OTIF, transit time, claims, capacity commitments).
Lead carrier performance reviews and corrective action plans.
Peak season capacity planning.
