Job summary

MITRE in the United States seeks a senior OT/ICS cybersecurity expert to defend critical infrastructure and work with government sponsors on threat-informed risk and detection engineering.

The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of related experience, strong knowledge of OT protocols, and the ability to lead offensive/defensive security activities across operational technology environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Computer, Electrical or Systems Engineering or similar.
• Typically 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master’s or PhD.
• Experience in OT cybersecurity, OT protocol analysis, and/or process control.
• Eligible for Top Secret clearance; US citizenship required.
• Minimum on-site work requirement: 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government and critical infrastructure operators to develop cyber protection requirements.
• Develop cyber sensors and analytic architectures for OT cybersecurity operations and threat-hunting.
• Perform mission dependency and adversary analyses to inform OT architecture design.
• Research and improve OT defensive TTPs for detecting and responding to threats.
• Conduct attack emulation and deception operations.
