AbbVie is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead design, implementation, and integration of OT automation projects across manufacturing and labs. You will configure and program OT systems, support validation activities, and drive continuous improvement in process controls.

The role requires familiarity with SCADA/PLC platforms (Ignition, Allen‑Bradley), Windows Server, and regulatory expectations (FDA/GMP/21 CFR 11). On-site work in New Jersey with potential after-hours support is possible.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science required.
• Experience with SCADA/PLC systems and process control.
• Knowledge of commissioning and qualification activities, change control.
• Experience in FDA/GMP/21 CFR 11 and data integrity in pharma/biotech.
• Windows Server OS and OT system configuration basics.
• Strong program leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Act as SME for automation applications, process control systems, and robotics.
• Provide process controls input for manufacturing issues and improvements.
• Configure and program OT systems per change control procedures.
• Train OT system users/engineers on new automation technologies.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot OT hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Validate OT system upgrades and data migrations (DCS, PLCs, Ignition SCADA).
• Support OT lifecycle including qualification protocols and docs.
• Perform OT system admin tasks (OS updates, backups, access management).
• Lead small to medium automation projects with cross-functional teams.
