Job summary

Switch is seeking a Senior OSP Engineer to lead the design and implementation of fiber infrastructure for hyperscale data centers and campus environments. You will supervise external consultants, develop OSP design standards, and collaborate with carriers, vendors, utilities, inspectors and contractors throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires at least 10 years of OSP fiber design experience, strong routing and connectivity knowledge, and proficiency with design tools like Bluebeam, Procore,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of OSP fiber design experience, including fiber optic cabling, underground pathways, duct banks, handholes, manholes, and entrance facilities.
• Experience with OSP design and engineering in mission-critical facilities including hyperscale datacenters and large multi-campus campuses.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and communications layouts during master planning and site selection.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on high standards and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of OSP fiber infrastructure across critical facilities.
• Supervise external engineering consultants to ensure designs meet standards.
• Develop and maintain OSP design standards, processes, and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal teams, carriers, vendors, utilities, inspectors, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and mitigate risks independently while supporting team members in a fast-paced environment.
