Job summary

Merck seeks a Senior Process Engineer, Technical Operations - Small Molecule Drug Product (Oral Solid Dose) at our Elkton, VA site to lead process ownership and technical excellence. You will drive upstream/downstream activities, from design through to technology transfer and commercial manufacture of OSD products.

Expect 5+ years in OSD manufacturing with deep knowledge of roller compaction, tablet compression, coating, and process validation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in oral solid dose manufacturing, formulation, or process development.
• Strong experience in OSD manufacturing operations and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for oral solid dose manufacturing processes.
• Own and coordinate process scale-up, technology transfer, and validation activities.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve yield, quality, and throughput.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, safety, and environmental standards.
