Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking a Senior OS Software Engineer for Field Engagement & Analytics in Cupertino. The role focuses on developing embedded OS data collection services across Apple platforms, with a strong emphasis on user privacy.

You will own the data pipeline components, collaborate across Apple teams, and contribute to OS-level software design and performance optimization under constrained resources. Mentorship and cross-functional teamwork are key.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5 years experience in software development
• Understanding OS fundamentals: processes, memory, IPC, concurrency and synchronization
• Understanding privacy-preserving data collection techniques and security best practices
• Expert level experience with C++, Objective-C, or Swift
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate across teams
• Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools for design, code generation and debugging

Responsibilities

• Own the tools, daemons, and frameworks that form the data pipeline foundation
• Develop and ship software for macOS, iOS, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS
• Collaborate closely with multiple Apple teams to drive data collection strategy
• Contribute to on-device data collection services with emphasis on privacy and security
• Advance telemetry, analytics, and observability capabilities of the data platform
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
