Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks an Orthotic Tech Sr. to lead operations in the Jacksonville, Florida lab. The role supports fabrication, molding, measuring, and fitting of orthotics/prosthetics and collaborates with the CPO/CP/CO to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include managing the carver system, documenting in the EMR, and maintaining equipment and inventory. Requires hands-on casting, foam mold work, and brace modifications with strong attention to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 5 years of experience in modifying plaster molds, pulling plastic, and custom brace design.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification required.
• Certified O&P Assistant/Technician, Certified Pedorthist, or Certified Orthotic Fitter preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fill casts and modify molds for fabrication.
• Manage carver processes and digital modification of foam molds.
• Clean and shape braces.
• Repair and modify braces as requested.
• Prepare molds for pulling and cut the plastics for pulling and/or any digital modification.
• Pull plastics.
• Assist CPO/CP/CO with patient care.
• Clean lab equipment and assure all equipment is working properly.
• Responsible for maintenance of all equipment.
• Maintain clean and orderly lab and exam room.
• Stock exam room with appropriate medical and clinical supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
