Job summary

LangChain in San Francisco seeks a senior order operations leader to own end-to-end order-to-cash, from deal intake to revenue recognition, on a modern stack including Salesforce, Metronome, and Rillet. You will build automation, partner with Deal Strategy and Product, and drive touchless order rate and billing accuracy while scaling processes to support growth.

This role requires 6+ years in SaaS order ops, strong SQL/low-code capabilities, and a proven track record automating back-office

Qualifications

• 6+ years in order management, order-to-cash, billing operations, or revenue operations at a B2B SaaS company, including time building the function at an early-stage or fast-scaling one
• Hands-on fluency with a modern billing and ERP stack—Salesforce, Metronome, and Rillet—and depth on ours quickly
• Experience with usage-based pricing and metered consumption models
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and month-end close
• Cloud marketplace experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• History of automating your own job and building alignment across teams without relying on org authority
• Comfort shipping a v0 earlier than feels comfortable and iterating with real feedback
• Audit readiness or SOX familiarity would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the order-to-cash path end to end: intake, booking in Salesforce, plan setup in Metronome, invoicing and revenue recognition through Rillet, and amendments/renewals
• Build out cloud marketplace operations across AWS, GCP, and Azure with private offers and usage reporting
• Own self-serve billing operations: usage metering, plan changes, dunning, credits, rebills, and refunds
• Ensure month-end close: reconcile all orders, credits, and metered events between Metronome and Rillet
• Collaborate with Deal Strategy and Product on pricing evolution and automation of billing in new deal structures
• Set the automation roadmap: quantify touchpoints and decide what to automate, streamline, or retire
• Treat billing errors as defects: root-cause analysis and systemic fixes
• Ship automations and work with GTM Systems and Enterprise Engineering where needed
• Write the playbook: approvals, segregation of duties, reconciliations, exception handling for scalable controls
• Own three metrics: touchless order rate, signature-to-provisioned cycle time, and billing accuracy
