Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union in Vienna, Virginia is seeking an experienced IT automation engineer to implement, maintain and support distributed intake channels, web services and an orchestration platform. You will design, build, test and update reusable automations and web applications using OpenText Operations Orchestration, PHP and .NET.

The role requires strong programming, database, and data analysis skills, plus the ability to communicate with customers and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Object-oriented PHP programming
• Experience in development and testing of web applications
• Programming/scripting: Python, PHP, Java, PowerShell/PowerCLI, Perl, VBScript, Windows batch scripting, web services/APIs
• Experience working with Windows
• Database administration: MySQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
• Experience performing data analysis
• Ability apply technical information to automation opportunities and present to customers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Partner with technology teams to identify and reengineer processes onboarding to orchestration or migration to web apps
• Design and implement highly available automation using orchestration platforms
• Advance the orchestration platform through evaluation, engineering and adopting emerging technologies
• Automate repeatable administration tasks and improve reliability
• Advocate web applications and orchestration platform across NFCU environments
• Develop thorough technical documentation including diagrams
