Job summary

Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an Application Engineer to design, develop, and optimize software applications that bridge technical teams and end-users. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, from requirements through deployment, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze needs, implement robust solutions, and participate in code reviews while maintaining industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years web application development and IoT with Java-based frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with SQL, Python, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software applications meeting business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Write clean, scalable code adhering to standards.
• Implement data structures and algorithms optimizing performance and UX.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot issues and ensure reliability in production.
