Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Orbital Analyst for Schriever SFB, CO, supporting space domain awareness and national security programs. The analyst will operate orbit determination systems, use data from radar, RF, and optical sources, and prepare design reference missions with MATLAB, STK, and other tools.

Eligible DoW SkillBridge interns will gain on‑the‑job experience, participate in system engineering activities, and contribute to high‑priority space programs in a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of related experience or graduate degree with 4+ years; in lieu of a degree, 10+ years experience.
• Experience with Spacecraft Operations/Orbit Analysis.
• Knowledge of ephemeris and orbit determination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze algorithms for orbit determination and capability analyses.
• Create models, simulations, and analysis tools to support national security space analysis.
• Collaborate with software teams to implement and validate models for user capabilities.
• Develop new algorithms, enhance tools, and perform analyses.
• Engage with customers and provide input to project managers on deliverables.
