Job summary

GDH is seeking a software developer with a focus on Oracle applications to support design, development, testing, and maintenance of technical and business software systems in a remote environment.

The role involves collaborating with users to define system scope, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering high-quality solutions. A BS/BA is required, with 5+ years of experience; U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility are mandatory. Fully remote role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience with a BS/BA degree; 3 years with an MS/MBA.
• Eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, APEX, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in software design, development, testing, and debugging within a government or commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of safety analysis, hazard documentation, and compliance standards.
• Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Availability to work within a flexible schedule as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and enhance computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems.
• Design, develop, code, test, and debug software applications using appropriate programming languages and tools.
• Collaborate with users to define system objectives, scope, and requirements for new or existing applications.
• Provide analytical support and technical advice during all phases of software development and implementation.
• Plan and schedule software development projects, including setting objectives, timelines, costs, and resource requirements.
• Review and evaluate system and software compliance with government or industry standards for safety and quality.
• Document hazard identification and mitigation measures within software systems using various analysis tools.
• Verify that design mitigations are integrated and properly documented throughout the development process.
• Evaluate code for validity, industry standards, and device compatibility; address issues uncovered during testing and customer feedback.
• Lead or participate in project teams, instructing and monitoring the work of other developers or analysts as needed.
