Job summary

Specialized Bicycle Components seeks an Oracle Principal Engineer in Morgan Hill, CA to own and advance the Oracle-based platform powering finance, supply chain, and commerce. You will lead Oracle 19c and EBS R12.x engineering, drive OCI standards, and oversee SOX ITGC controls while guiding Fusion migrations.

The role combines hands-on engineering with platform ownership, including 24x7 availability, runbooks, patching, and strategic cloud governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration for enterprise applications.
• 8+ years hands-on EBS R12.x administration.
• Deep Oracle 19c expertise across RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, and performance tuning; OCI experience.
• Strong OCI platform administration: IAM, VCN design, network segmentation, and cloud security controls.
• Linux fundamentals on Oracle Linux or RHEL; scripting, SSH, and security hardening.
• Demonstrated program leadership, including planning, dependency tracking, and stakeholder reporting; vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for Oracle 19c and EBS R12.x across Production, Test, Development, and Disaster Recovery.
• Define runbooks and operational standards supporting 24x7 availability; lead root-cause analysis to reduce incidents.
• Lead patching, upgrades, cloning, refreshes, and performance tuning; ensure change impact communications.
• Own OCI architecture to Well-Architected standards; manage SOX ITGC controls and audit evidence.
• Coordinate Fusion migration work beneath EBS and Fusion, planning and execution with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with GEA and CSS teams; drive delivery plans and manage SLAs and budgets.
