Job summary

KTek Resourcing is seeking an experienced database developer to join our clients team in the Houston area. You will design and optimize Oracle database objects, implement PL/SQL code, and support ETL processes with performance tuning and data loading tasks.

Candidates should have 8+ years of database development, strong SQL/PLSQL, Snowflake experience, and familiarity with cloud data loading (AWS or Azure). Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database development experience.
• Strong PL/SQL experience with Tables, Stored Procedures, DDL/DML, Views, Indexes, Cursors, Functions, and user-defined types.
• Expertise in Oracle performance tuning with hints and EXPLAIN PLAN.
• Proficient in SQL/PLSQL features, including analytical functions and bulk binding.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Experience with Oracle in a data-rich environment (RDBMS).
• Experience with loading files via Oracle SQL Loader/External File Utilities.
• Proficiency in Python or Perl.
• Nice-to-have Snowflake cloud data platform experience (SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Snowflake data loading).
• Exposure to Investment Management analytics and cash flow projections.
