Job summary

Ariel Partners is seeking an experienced IT consultant to support full life cycle applications development across multiple platforms, with a focus on data warehouse environments. The role involves designing system specifications, creating data models, and delivering OBIEE-based dashboards and reports for state systems such as NYS Welfare Management and Medicaid processing.

Ideal candidates will guide technical teams, analyze large datasets, and communicate complex concepts clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Develop test plans and analyze large data volumes.
• Guide technical teams using business knowledge.
• Experience with NYS Welfare/Medicaid systems and NYCWAY in a technical/analytical role.
• Excellent analytical and testing skills with clear English communication.
• Lead design of program specs and software solutions; snowflake data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design specifications.
• Prepare design documents meeting system and security requirements.
• Design databases, security and software configurations.
• Create data models and metadata definitions.
• Develop system documentation and user instructions.
• Collaborate with managers, senior programmers, and product staff to plan implementations.
• Test programs and data, and design reports and dashboards.
• Architect, analyze, deploy RPD in OBIEE environments.
• Assist support staff with usability and business issues.
• Engage with customers and legacy developers to clarify feature intent.
