Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer in Owings Mills, MD to lead large-scale database migrations and ongoing production operations. You will work with Exadata architecture, RAC, Data Guard, and patching to ensure high availability and performance.

The role requires deep client connectivity knowledge (JDBC/ODP.NET, OCI clients) and collaboration across DBA, infrastructure, and application teams during pre-migration prep, migration events, and post-cutover support.

Qualifications

• Experience with Exadata and Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on migration of databases to Exadata with cutover planning.
• Strong connectivity and integration with applications.
• Experience with RAC, Data Guard, patching, backup/recovery.

Responsibilities

• Support large-scale database migrations and ongoing production operations.
• Collaborate with DBA, infrastructure, and application teams during pre-migration prep and post-cutover support.
• Validate connectivity, performance, and functionality during migrations.
• Monitor, log, and validate enterprise environments post-migration.
• Coordinate change windows and incident escalations.
