Qualifications

• 10–16 years of relevant experience in computer science, IT, data management, or a related field.
• ITIL v4 Foundations
• Proficiency in Oracle, database design, data governance, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with data science tools and methodologies is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. DoD security clearance at the required level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain multiple Oracle home directories in a multiplatform environment.
• Direct installs of the latest Oracle DBMS software releases as needed.
• Create and maintain Perl and UNIX shell scripts to monitor Oracle databases; maintain related tools.
• Verify daily/weekly/archival backup integrity and perform restores.
• Collaborate with management and system personnel for backup configuration.
• Interface with System Administrators for proper system configuration and disk space allocation.
• Specify file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for databases.
• Plan and manage all technical and operational activities for Oracle databases and servers.
• Understand complex database designs to identify limitations and deficiencies.
• Advise engineering on database/system architecture.
• Load new databases, configure storage, backup, recovery, security and versions; perform tuning for production.
• Work in a distributed, heterogeneous computing environment across platforms and networks.
• Provide expertise in data storage systems; develop backup/archival policies.
• Configure storage systems software to meet requirements.
• Perform installation, maintenance, monitoring, recovery, upgrading and performance tuning.
