Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Sr. Oracle DBA & System Administrator to design, implement and optimize Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 databases on Exadata hardware. You will ensure availability, performance, backup/recovery and secure operations while leading automation efforts and knowledge transfer.

Qualified candidates provide 10+ years of hands‑on experience with EBS R12, Exadata, OEM and RMAN. Remote/hybrid work options are available with occasional on‑site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years’ hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA & System Administrator supporting Oracle E‑Business Suite R12.
• Expertise with Oracle Exadata hardware installation, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and administration.
• Proficient in RMAN backups, recovery scenarios; Data Guard considered a plus.
• Experience with cloning procedures (Rapid Clone, AD utilities, RMAN) and automation.
• Knowledge of ASM, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle RAC, Linux for Oracle, and storage/networking concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL and shell scripting; automation/orchestration tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 databases and related components on Exadata hardware.
• Install, configure, patch and upgrade Oracle databases, Grid Infrastructure, ASM and related components.
• Implement and maintain end-to-end monitoring via OEM; configure alerts and dashboards.
• Design, document and execute robust backup and restore procedures; validate recovery.
• Create and execute cloning procedures for Dev/Test/QA/DR environments with automation.
• Tune database and app tier for high-volume parallel processing; optimize Concurrent Manager.
• Manage model routing and additional app servers for routing and workload distribution.
• Perform performance monitoring, capacity planning and proactive tuning.
• Troubleshoot production incidents; perform root-cause analysis and preventative actions.
• Maintain security, access controls, patch cycles and compliance for databases/Exadata.
