Job summary

NuAxis Innovations is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to own reliability, security, and performance of the Oracle tier supporting modernized applications. You will collaborate with the Technical Lead and Middleware Engineer to ensure efficient data access and governance.

Required: 5+ years in Oracle DB administration and PL/SQL, plus strong experience with backup/recovery, security, and compliance in enterprise environments. OCP is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle Database administration and PL/SQL development in a production enterprise environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, packages, views, and other database objects.
• Experience with backup/recovery, high availability, security, auditing, and change management.
• Experience with CI/CD-driven database deployments and application modernization.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments, including availability and performance.
• Develop PL/SQL components in coordination with middleware/architecture standards.
• Review schema designs to ensure efficient access and avoid business-logic duplication in data tier.
• Plan and execute schema changes, migrations, and release-related database changes.
• Implement backup, recovery, high availability, and disaster-recovery requirements.
• Enforce least privilege, access controls, auditing, and encryption configurations.
• Troubleshoot performance, locking, and data-integrity issues with application teams.
• Support QA with test-data needs and data validation.
• Maintain database documentation and change records.
• Support monitoring and release readiness with evidence for operations.
